Bachelor's Degree Chapel and Christian Service

(Co-Curricular Requirement)

All undergraduate students participate in regular Chapel sessions and Christian Service activities as part of Hesed University’s commitment to spiritual formation and community engagement.
These requirements carry no academic credit but are mandatory for graduation.

Purpose and Learning Outcomes of Chapel and Christian Service

Purpose
The Chapel and Christian Service programs at Hesed University serve as essential co-curricular components of the undergraduate educational experience. These programs are designed to support students’ spiritual formation and to integrate faith with learning, vocation, and community life in accordance with the University’s Christ-centered mission.
While Chapel and Christian Service do not carry academic credit, they are required for graduation and function alongside the academic curriculum to foster holistic student development. Through regular participation in corporate worship and active engagement in Christian service, students are encouraged to cultivate habits of faith, reflection, and service that shape both personal character and professional identity.

Learning Outcomes
Through participation in Chapel and Christian Service, undergraduate students are expected to:
  • Demonstrate spiritual growth through regular engagement in worship, prayer, and reflection within a Christ-centered academic community.
  • Integrate Christian faith with daily life, vocational discernment, and future professional practice.
  • Develop a commitment to Christian service, stewardship, and responsibility through participation in ministry, service activities, and community engagement.
  • Exhibit ethical conduct, accountability, and respect for others consistent with biblical values and the mission of Hesed University.
  • Engage meaningfully in the spiritual and communal life of the University as part of their holistic formation.


College Chapel (PRAC011)
Students are required to register for PRAC011 College Chapel every semester they are enrolled.
  • Passing Requirements: Students must achieve a minimum score of 70% on chapel assignments to pass.
  • Failure Policy: Students who fail chapel four or more times become ineligible for graduation. Repeated failures may lead to disciplinary action by the campus chaplaincy. Potential consequences include: Warning/ Probation/ Suspension/ Dismissal

College Christian Service (PRAC010)
Students are required to pass six semesters of PRAC010 College Christian Service to qualify for graduation.
  • Passing Requirements: Students must achieve a minimum score of 70% on Christian service assignments.
